Jin Discharged from Military, Reunited with BTS!
In a heartwarming moment for BTS fans worldwide, Jin, the eldest member of the record-breaking K-pop group, was discharged from his mandatory military service today, June 12th, 2024. Jin enlisted in December 2022, becoming the first member of BTS to begin his service.
After 18 months, Jin was emotional as he left the military base in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi province. Videos captured the moment, showing Jin wiping away tears as he hugged his fellow soldiers goodbye.
The emotional scene turned into pure joy when Jin was greeted by his fellow BTS members, RM, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. The members, who are also currently serving in the military, were reportedly granted leave to celebrate this special occasion.
In a touching display of brotherhood, RM presented Jin with flowers and even played their hit song "Dynamite" on a saxophone, adding a special musical touch to the reunion. Suga, another member of BTS, was unfortunately unable to attend the discharge ceremony due to unknown reasons. However, it is reported that Suga plans to reunite with Jin later today.
Jin's discharge marks a significant milestone for BTS and their fans. While the remaining members are still serving their time, fans can look forward to a complete BTS reunion sometime in 2025.
Big Hit Music, the group's agency, has already announced exciting plans for Jin's return. Fans can expect a special in-person event as part of this year's "BTS FESTA," a celebration of the group's anniversary. The event will reportedly include a fan meeting where Jin will greet fans and even offer a special "light hug" upon request.
